An Ode To Abbadon

When I think of him I feel his presence surrounding me, holding me in a warm embrace. A simple hug. As he withdraws, his lips kiss my neck. Wings caress my back, holding me close to him not wanting to let me go.Just to steal this moment, this perfect moment. Intimacy in a bubble of our own making. Secluded by a veil that allows us to glimpse into the world outside whilst we remain safe and unseen in ours.

Let others make their own!

We talk for hours letting time dance around us flowing like a river being drawn into its currents losing ourselves in it and each other. Everything outside ourselves is meaningless. We’re an ephemeral dreamscape shining brightly. I dream of waterfalls, oceans, spirit, life and rebirth. I dream of joy being in his arms carrying me away to another universe. Where it doesn’t matter if we’re not verbally understood. Love is a universal language.

“Can you hear the sea, my love?”  He asks.

Waves loudly crash against the rocks, an eternal repetition: bombardment. Seemingly to no avail. Yet over time it changes the cliff face gradient by gradient. Determined. Never to be deterred. Water is powerful. Neptune rules and resides here.

It’s in these waves we sculpture our love.

We’re standing behind a waterfall a door loud and deafening. Behind us is a cavern that leads to recesses inside the mountain, a secret place, where he keeps his treasures. He lives in a labyrinth, a series of tunnels where rooms have formed. We pass his bedroom. A beautiful stone room with a high ceiling that has an opulent bed and access to a clear blue pool that leads into an inviting ocean.

Outside is Eden where everything began and where everything ended. He is Adam to my Eve. We return to paradise lost. There’s no seraphim here protecting the gates to this garden whilst no snake whispers in our ears. Naked we traverse the terrain laughing giddily with freedom knowing that this sacrosanct place is ours and ours alone to wander in and explore.

There's a melody in our hearts. We dance as if in a musical, expressing the splintered truths within us through song. I’m hiding behind a boulder trying not to giggle or I’ll give myself away.

“Abaddon,” My voice teasingly sings, carried by the wind, it whispers in his ear “Find me.”

Spying the boulder he walks towards it. I sense him near me so I move around the rock. Realizing what I’m doing he walks stealthily in the opposite direction. He’s caught me. We laugh not because of the game but because it represents our souls that found each other so long ago amongst the darkness that we made light. The lost became found: Completion. A union not just of body but of spirit: Harmony.

How I love to romanticize everything! I can’t help it.

We transcend.

Is this not how love feels?
